- HOW IT WORKS | Predict-N7
PREDICT-N₇ was originally created by Cutler Robinson, CGCS with a Masters in Plant Physiology, to determine how much nitrogen a putting green would metabolize at different GDD. The model was originally intended to help Turf Managers regulate growth without growth regulators, but Predictive Agronomics founders discovered that matching N management with products offering the proper amount of phytohormones and metabolites produced extraordinary results in control, leaf texture and playability. Where Turf Professionals Go to Turn Data Into Action GET SUPERIOR RESULTS, SIMILAR COST, & LESS WORRY By matching inputs to the turf's entire predicted metabolic demands All plant life comes from Metabolizing Nitrogen through the metabolic chain to make enough Photosynthates for Cell Division DON'T JUST FEED N. ANTICIPATE TURF'S METABOLIC DEMANDS for better results, greater growth control, and less disease pressures Nitrogen serves as a lynchpin in the 7-Step Cellular Metabolic processes that drive healthy cell division in leaves, stems, and roots. However, Nitrogen is also a luxury consumption nutrient , so the plant takes up as is provided creating metabolic imbalances. These imbalances lead to weaker turf, shorter roots, wider leaves, softer surfaces, and higher disease pressures. As the plant's internal weekly metabolic demands change based on weather, soil mineralization, and your observations and goals , so should your supplemental amounts of Nitrogen, nutrients, photosynthates, and metabolites. This will keep the plant in a healthy and constant state of equilibrium allowing it to make more photosynthates for greater cell division. PREDICT N7 removes the guess work by automatically adjusting recommended rates of Floratine and Urea products to match that Nitrogen with the ideal amounts of nutrients, biostimulants, photosynthates, and metabolites to promote a healthy and constant state of equilibrium. Since Floratine's products are specifically designed for each of the 7 metabolic sequential steps , your turf has what it needs to meet the week's challenging demands. PREDICT N7 pro prietary algorithms will answer: How much Nitrogen can be metabolized based on this week's forecasted weather ? How much nitrogen is being released in your soil based on Organic Matter , Temperature , Dew Point and Moisture ? How much supplemental nitrogen is required based on your goals and performance needs for the coming weeks? What rates of Floratine's metabolic products are needed to balance the plant's entire 7-Step Metabolic Demands ? It All Starts with Ana-Lync Soil Testing because knowing what is in your soil plays a key part. That's why PREDICT N7 uses Ana-Lync soil tests, which are specifically calibrated to low height of cut turf and offer ENR by month. HOW PREDICTIVE NITROGEN+METABOLIC DEMAND MODELING HELP TARGET PRECISE TREATMENTS Predict N7's patent pending algorithms predict supplemental nitrogen requirements and calculate nutrient, metabolite, and phytohormone deficiencies before they happen. Rates And Products To Fulfill Forecasted Deficiencies (from example above based on site-specific GDD and Ana-Lync soil report) 1.5 oz Knife /Renaissance 1.25 oz GlycoFuze .46 oz XF 23/24 1.5 oz Citric Cycle 1.75 oz ProteSyn 1.0 oz Floradox Pro Recommendations Change Based On: -Forecasted Temperature and Dew Point -Mowing Heights -Soil Organic Nitrogen Mineralization -Observed Moisture Levels and Clipping Yield -Turf Manager Goals (e.g. Additional Stress Tolerance, Additional Surface Density) TURF MANAGERS MAINTAIN CONTROL OVER RESULTS PREDICT N7 HOME SCREEN (EXAMPLE) Turf Manager's Inputs Different selections will automatically change product mixes and rates to balance metabolic equilibrium. WHY PREDICT N7 RECOMMENDS FLORATINE PRODUCTS THE SHORT ANSWER : Our extensive field testing showed that using Floratine products with predictive Nitrogen modeling produced superior results when compared to other foliar products. THE SCIENTIFIC REASON : Each Floratine product is designed for a different biochemical plant process with its own unique and patented blend of Phytohormones, Nutrients, and Metabolites . This allows them to individually and collectively raise all photosynthetic reactions needed for true plant health, without the need to increase mowing heights. X-Factor 23/24 contain the 3 forms of N the plant can immediately utilize and balanced for better metabolic utilization: Nitrate (NO3), Ammonium (NH4), and Urea Only Food-Grade or Pharmaceutical-Grade Nutrients with NO Chlorides or Hydroxides Floratine's Uniquely Sourced Nutrients Amino Acids * Anti-Oxidants * Biostimulants * Carbon Fractions * Complex Carbohydrates * Enzymes * Fulvic Acids * Glycomics * Humic Acids * Organic Acids * Peptides * Phytoalexins * Phytohormones (Gibberellins, Auxins, Cytokinins, Salicylic Acids) * Polysaccharides * Proteins * Simple Sugars * Stabilized Phosphites * Vitamins Floratine's Extensive List of Phytohormones and Metabolites: "The key to superior results is having the correct products applied at rates balanced with supplemental nitrogen needs." What Golf Course Superintendents and Athletic Field Turf Managers say about improved control, turf health, leaf texture, reduction in growth regulators, and improved organic material management using Predict N7 as a decision support tool. Hear From Turf Professionals Justin Smith Lakeside Park Club "My greens developed notably finer leaf texture and had incredible stress tolerance through some brutal weather." I just finished my first season using PREDICT N₇ and it delivered exactly as advertised! My greens developed notably finer leaf texture and had incredible stress tolerance through some brutal weather. Green speeds were consistently outstanding throughout the year—I only made one PGR application (member-guest). Financially, the program was a win, too; treatment costs came in slightly under the initial budget simulations provided by Predictive Agronomics. I’m super excited for next season!" Superintendent Public Course in MD "Predict N7 has changed our philosophical approach to our turfgrass, and the results are remarkable." "The Predict-N7 Model has enabled us to provide firm, consistent putting greens all through the growing season. We have been able to increase green speed and firmness, while decreasing organic matter, chemical inputs, and mowing frequency. Predict N7 has changed our philosophical approach to our turfgrass, and the results are remarkable. As a public course providing 40k+ rounds each season, I truly believe the Predict-N model can be utilized by all Superintendents." Kyle Steidel Caves Valley Golf Club "Predict N7 has brought a new level of comfort knowing our greens will withstand the summer months." “Predict N7 has proven itself to be a very useful tool in our greens management program. Chris McCarthy Evergreen Country Club "We have saved tens of thousand of dollars on products and maintenance cost." “I kind of fell in love with the flexibility of the PREDICT N₇ program right away. We could not be happier with the results we have seen using PREDICT N₇ models on our Bentgrass greens, Bermuda Tees, and Rye Fairways. We have saved tens of thousand of dollars on products and reduction in maintenance cost. It is simple to use and it works!” Jamin Blum Sea Scape Golf Links "This is how turf should be maintained." "Since running Predict N7 our greens have dramatically improved their tolerance to environmental stresses. The resulting reduction in cost, labor, and worry have made Predict-N7 an indispensable tool. This is how turf should be maintained." Jordan Spitler 21 Golf Club "PREDICT N₇ continues to be an integral component of my agronomic strategy." "This is my second golf course which I have used PREDICT N₇ on and it continues to be an integral component of my agronomic strategy. When I accepted the Director of Agronomy position at 21 Golf Club, I immediately scheduled Analync soil testing. This allowed a product usage simulation for budgeting and inventory management for PREDICT N₇." Dean Farlow Deep Springs Country Club "My normal weak areas on greens are now thriving." "Immediate response using PN7, noticeable leaf texture, and my normal yearly weak areas on greens are now thriving. The only thing I changed was incorporating Floratine and PN7." Jeremy Frisicaro Bayville GC- Nursery "We controlled OM, which in turn reduced our fungicide applications." “Our nursery green had 12 different varieties of bentgrass that we were experimenting with for our recent renovation. Using the Predict N7 model made the decision easier as to which variety was best for our Club. It gave us the opportunity to determine what plant preformed best based on our course's microclimate and fertility needs. Using the Predict N7 model during our nursery trials, we were able to grow a healthier plant, controlled OM, which in turn reducing our fungicide applications. Managing a golf course can be a daunting task keeping up with weather, soil nutrient availability, fertility products, and how these all work together. Using the Predict N7 model helped me to remove human error and any tendency to over fertilize. It significantly helps me simplify and put everything together to make a more informed decision, a better playing surface, and allows more focus on other components of the course.” Chris Harriman while at Hermitage Country Club "Our greens have never been better." "After running the Predict N₇ Model for the past three years, I can confidently say that our greens have never been better. The Predict N7 is as integral to the success of our programs as fans and moisture meters." Kirk Warburton Cattail Creek Country Club "The results were remarkable." “While we have used Floratine products for many years, 2025 is the first year we fully incorporated them into the fairway nutrient program and took advantage of the clever PREDICT N₇ dashboard. Results were remarkable. The accuracy of the nitrogen application rates for our native soil Bentgrass fairways in relation to natural nitrogen release and the forecasting in growing degree days was spot on.” Having the PREDICT N₇ data puts us an extra step ahead in our observations to proactively control clipping yield, plant health, soil moisture, aesthetics and ultimately, playability. Joe Wagner The Dominion Club “Predict N7 has made it easy for us to put out a top notch putting surface every day of the year.” “Predict N7 has made it easy for us to maintain green speeds, tolerate foot traffic and put out a top notch putting surface every day of the year.” Matt Zarnstorff Creighton Farms "PREDICT N₇ works and is cost effective!" "We were able to control growth on our Bentgrass tees & fairways, by utilizing the nitrogen in our soil organic matter, saving $ in fertilizer while not needing PGRs. The plant health exceeded our expectations and will make next year‘s performance even stronger. PREDICT N₇ works and is cost effective!“ J. W. Potter Rivercrest GC "Overall my greens are in the best shape I have ever seen them, aesthetically as well as playability." "As a golf course owner, I wear many different hats. Since switching to PredictN7, managing the inputs of my greens is one less thing I have to worry about. And overall my greens are in the best shape I have ever seen them, aesthetically as well as playability." Brian Hill Salem Glen Country Club "One of the most brutal summers yet; but never had an issue with greens." "I have run PN7 for my first year and I didn’t incorporate an aerification in the spring. I went through one of the most brutal summers yet; but never had an issue with greens. I don't guess anymore and trust what the model is telling me”. Hunter Hankley The Foundry Golf Club "I like the cost savings, and growth control that not over-applying nitrogen provides." "Exceeding my members' expectation for elite putting surfaces isn’t easy…but with Predict N7 and a great team, we are doing just that. Going on my 3rd season with Predict N7 and the greens just keep getting better. My membership immediately saw an improvement to turf color and texture after adopting the Predict N7 Fairway C4 Model. I was hesitant at first because we overseed, but the results have been beyond reproach. I like the cost savings, and growth control that not over-applying nitrogen provides." Jordan Spitler while at Princess Anne Country Club "I was surprised at how quickly I saw improvement in leaf texture and ball roll after starting Predict N7" "I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I saw improvement in leaf texture and ball roll after starting the Predict N7. A side benefit of achieving very fast putting speeds with less effort (and without PGRs)...is the reduced wear and overall improvement to the turf surrounding my greens. But it's having total control of growth that I like most about Predict N7. With our Bermudagrass fairways we are impressed with the consistent control of growth we have throughout the season, which has reduced our overall maintenance cost. We also maintain color and plant health even longer, going into the winter, which has made our spring start up even better!" Dan Taylor Independence Golf Club "I was able to get speeds in the upper 13’s without any stress to my turf." 'I was able to get speeds in the upper 13’s without any stress to my turf when I used PREDICT N₇ to dial in treatments leading up to the 2024 USGA Mid-Am. I’ve utilized PREDICT N₇ for the last three seasons on my Ultradwarf greens with great success. My control over the growth of my turf is so good, that we are moving away from disruptive practices for organic matter management, giving my golfing clientele a full season of great putting greens.' Chris Harriman Carmel Country Club "In just 6 weeks members have taken notice of a tighter texture and increased green speeds." "One of the first actions I took after accepting the Director of Agronomy position at Carmel CC was to get Analync Soil testing, so we could get PREDICT N₇ fired up right away. From the soil test, Predictive Agronomics could run a product usage simulation for budgeting next season, and I was able to show my new club the value PREDICT N₇ offers. In just 6 weeks members have taken notice of a tighter texture and increased green speeds, further aiding in a smooth start at Carmel." Eric Ferrell Caverns CC "The greens keep getting better and easier to manage." "Predict N7 is wonderful and affordable. We have used it for 2 years now and the greens keep getting better and easier to manage. I like that it guides us on making decisions based on our weather and our soil test data."

IT ALL STARTED IN 2019 | ABOUT US PREDICT-N₇ was originally created by Cutler Robinson, CGCS with a Masters in Plant Physiology as a spreadsheet model to determine the amount of nitrogen a putting green would metabolize at different GDD (Growing Degree Days). The original model was intended to help a Turf Manager regulate growth without using a growth regulator. Over time, Predictive Agronomics founders discovered that matching N management with products offering the proper amount of phytohormones and metabolites produced extraordinary results. They continued to study this and fine tune formulas over the course of 3 years before beginning development of a web-based app in 2022. Why it works... If too much nitrogen is in the plant at any given time, it triggers unwanted topical growth and the plant will start to swell, texture goes from fine to coarse, ball speeds are slower, diseases enter more easily and eventually leaf blades will lay over. Knowing the right amount of nitrogen is the best way to avoid these problems. While superintendents often manage nitrogen inputs based on intuition and experience, PREDICT-N₇ more accurately predicts desired inputs using location specific soil and future weather data. Superintendents can even dial-in their nitrogen inputs better to manage the growth and playing conditions they want. However, balancing nitrogen inputs is not enough to achieve ultimate playability, because it is only a piece of a greater process. Instead, all the Major Plant Process Steps need to be in balance too, so that protein and enzyme productions can be maximized. The total number of proteins and enzymes the plant can store determines the amount of strength the plant has to defend itself and recover quickly for ultimate playability. Unfortunately, when the turf is mowed low, the minimized leaf blades restrict the number of raw materials the plant critically needs, makes, and uses in all process steps that lead to building proteins and enzymes. After 4 years in total of successful Beta Testing with many golf courses and athletic fields, they were finally comfortable launching PREDICT-N₇ as a web-based service for Golf Courses- Greens, Tees, and Fairways and Sports Turf- Professional Athletic Fields in 2023. Predict N7 started as a way to predict supplemental N requirements for highly managed turf and has evolved to help turf managers turf's demand for nutrients, phytohormones and metabolites. From N Modeling to Forecasting Turf Demands In partnership with a group of golf course and athletic field managers, the founders studied results and fine tuned formulas over the course of 3 years. In 2023 PREDICT-N₇ was ready to launch as a web-based app modeling Nitrogen along with all the nutrients, phytohormones and metabolites required by the plant for metabolic equilibrium. The results achieved by the Turf Managers using it spoke for themselves. Why it works If too much nitrogen is in the plant at any given time, it triggers unwanted topical growth and the plant will start to swell, texture goes from fine to coarse, ball speeds are slower, diseases enter more easily, and eventually leaf blades will lay over. - Mike Nowicki OM Success | Predict-N7
Superintentend Mike Nowicki naturally reduced Organic Material at three different golf courses using Predict N7 for Nitrogen management. May 2024 Newsletter Spotlight: Mike Nowicki, OM Management Aficionado Every golf course is different, with unique situations, but a universal challenge is excess organic matter in the top inch of the soil. It’s obvious from the extent of this issue that traditional methods of OM control have not worked. That is why the USGA has spent considerable resources on cultural practices research led by Dr. Roch Gaussoin at University of Nebraska. That research has yielded actionable recommendations. But again, every course is different. Enter Mike Nowicki, Director of Agronomy at Victoria National Golf Club, Newburg, IN. Mike’s first superintendent’s job was at a Donald Ross course in Richmond, VA, Lakeside Park Club , with older A1/A4 greens with moderately high OM and a history of root pythium . Mike implemented an attack of multiple small solid tinings (including a deep tine) followed by heavy topdressing in the spring (looked like a sewing machine went over the greens), along with persistent topdressings; and in a year and a half the OM went from 4.0% to 2.8% . What is the target for OM, no one knows exactly, but Mike didn’t spray a soil fungicide from early August until the end of that season . Fast forward to Victoria National Golf Club , a course with water quality issues, poor percolation and high organic matter . Victoria has considerably more resources than Lakeside Park, and also higher expectations, but again the same approach of multiple small solid tines (VNGC also got drill n fill to help with infiltration). In one year Mike and his team reduced OM from 4.8% to 3.9% using this approach . More work and time will be needed to get down in the 3% range, but the confidence that his programs will get him there is 100%. The ramifications will certainly be firmer greens that are less prone to disease and LDS. At some point, the aeration procedures will be less aggressive. This is how to create a sustainable system…that gets better each year. The nutritional component is to ‘never perform a procedure that is so aggressive that addition N (above what is recommended by Predict N7) is required to heal from that procedure’, ensuring that there is never an excess of Nitrogen applied and the potential for an ‘over-accumulation’ of OM is negated . Dr. Roch Gaussoin’s research on cultural practices + Predict N7 is a great way to approach OM management. Utilizing your talents (i.e. like Mike), and tailoring programs to your course creates true value to your golfing clientele.

What Turf Professionals Have to Say About PREDICT N ₇ 21 Golf Club Jordan Spitler "This is my second golf course which I have used PREDICT N₇ on and it continues to be an integral component of my agronomic strategy. When I accepted the Director of Agronomy position at 21 Golf Club, I immediately scheduled Analync soil testing. This allowed a product usage simulation for budgeting and inventory management for PREDICT N₇." Carmel Country Club Chris Harriman "One of the first actions I took after accepting the Director of Agronomy position at Carmel CC was to get Analync Soil testing, so we could get PREDICT N₇ fired up right away. From the soil test, Predictive Agronomics could run a product usage simulation for budgeting next season, and I was able to show my new club the value PREDICT N₇ offers. In just 6 weeks members have taken notice of a tighter texture and increased green speeds, further aiding in a smooth start at Carmel." Lakeside Park Club Justin Smith I just finished my first season using PREDICT N₇ and it delivered exactly as advertised! I’m super excited for next season!" Independence Golf Club Dan Taylor 'I was able to get speeds in the upper 13’s without any stress to my turf when I used PREDICT N₇ to dial in treatments leading up to the 2024 USGA Mid-Am. I’ve utilized PREDICT N₇ for the last three seasons on my Ultradwarf greens with great success. My control over the growth of my turf is so good, that we are moving away from disruptive practices for organic matter management, giving my golfing clientele a full season of great putting greens.' Bayville GC- Nursery Jeremy Frisicaro “Our nursery green had 12 different varieties of bentgrass that we were experimenting with for our recent renovation. It significantly helps me simplify and put everything together to make a more informed decision, a better playing surface, and allows more focus on other components of the course.” The Dominion Club Joe Wagner “Predict N7 has made it easy for us to maintain green speeds, tolerate foot traffic and put out a top notch putting surface every day of the year.” Public Course in MD Superintendent "The Predict-N7 Model has enabled us to provide firm, consistent putting greens all through the growing season. We have been able to increase green speed and firmness, while decreasing organic matter, chemical inputs, and mowing frequency. Predict N7 has changed our philosophical approach to our turfgrass, and the results are remarkable. As a public course providing 40k+ rounds each season, I truly believe the Predict-N model can be utilized by all Superintendents." Rivercrest GC J. W. Potter "As a golf course owner, I wear many different hats. Since switching to PredictN7, managing the inputs of my greens is one less thing I have to worry about. And overall my greens are in the best shape I have ever seen them, aesthetically as well as playability." Salem Glen Country Club Brian Hill "I have run PN7 for my first year and I didn’t incorporate an aerification in the spring. I went through one of the most brutal summers yet; but never had an issue with greens. I don't guess anymore and trust what the model is telling me”. Deep Springs Country Club Dean Farlow "Immediate response using PN7, noticeable leaf texture, and my normal yearly weak areas on greens are now thriving. The only thing I changed was incorporating Floratine and PN7." while at Princess Anne Country Club Jordan Spitler "I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I saw improvement in leaf texture and ball roll after starting the Predict N7. We also maintain color and plant health even longer, going into the winter, which has made our spring start up even better!" Bayville Golf Club Scott Mauldin "I have used the Predict N7 model on established greens with success of firm, fast putting surfaces while also creating a healthy root system. Using the local data through predict N7 model has been a great system to help me manage to the highest standards for putting surfaces!" Creighton Farms Matt Zarnstorff "We were able to control growth on our Bentgrass tees & fairways, by utilizing the nitrogen in our soil organic matter, saving $ in fertilizer while not needing PGRs. The plant health exceeded our expectations and will make next year‘s performance even stronger. PREDICT N₇ works and is cost effective!“ while at Hermitage Country Club Chris Harriman "After running the Predict N₇ Model for the past three years, I can confidently say that our greens have never been better. The Predict N7 is as integral to the success of our programs as fans and moisture meters." Caverns CC Eric Ferrell "Predict N7 is wonderful and affordable. We have used it for 2 years now and the greens keep getting better and easier to manage. I like that it guides us on making decisions based on our weather and our soil test data." Sea Scape Golf Links Jamin Blum "Since running Predict N7 our greens have dramatically improved their tolerance to environmental stresses. The resulting reduction in cost, labor, and worry have made Predict-N7 an indispensable tool. This is how turf should be maintained." Caves Valley Golf Club Kyle Steidel “Predict N7 has proven itself to be a very useful tool in our greens management program. Whether we are targeting our desired leaf texture, managing organic matter levels, focusing on overall plant health or pushing performance, Predict N7 has brought a new level of comfort knowing our greens will withstand the summer months in the mid-Atlantic. We are very excited about the capabilities we now have utilizing Predict N7.” Evergreen Country Club Chris McCarthy “I kind of fell in love with the flexibility of the PREDICT N₇ program right away. We could not be happier with the results we have seen using PREDICT N₇ models on our Bentgrass greens, Bermuda Tees, and Rye Fairways. We have saved tens of thousand of dollars on products and reduction in maintenance cost. It is simple to use and it works!” Cattail Creek Country Club Kirk Warburton “While we have used Floratine products for many years, 2025 is the first year we fully incorporated them into the fairway nutrient program and took advantage of the clever PREDICT N₇ dashboard. The Foundry Golf Club Hunter Hankley "Exceeding my members' expectation for elite putting surfaces isn’t easy…but with Predict N7 and a great team, we are doing just that. Going on my 3rd season with Predict N7 and the greens just keep getting better. My membership immediately saw an improvement to turf color and texture after adopting the Predict N7 Fairway C4 Model. I was hesitant at first because we overseed, but the results have been beyond reproach. I like the cost savings, and growth control that not over-applying nitrogen provides." Victoria National Golf Club Michael Nowicki "I've used the Predict-N7 Model on three different golf courses, with A4, L93 and Triple 7 respectively. In each case, the Predict-N7 has helped me provide elite putting surfaces that withstand high heat, humidity, and traffic at very fast putting speeds."
